Lynn Dejac, first woman in United States History to have a 2nd degree murder conviction set aside due to DNA evidence.

In 1994 Lynn was convicted of 2nd Degree Murder and sentenced to 25 years to Life in prison for the murder of her 13 year old daughter, Cyrstallynn.  Lynn having just given birth to twin boys, Keith & Douglas, was torn away from her life, her son Eddie, who was 9 years old, her boyfriend the father of her twins whom she married while in prison, and everyone else she held dear.  She was sent to the prison facility at Bedford Hills, NY where she was incarcerated for 13 1/2 years.

Lynn survived this ordeal and learned some valuable lessons about life and forgiveness.  Her purpose now is to rebuild her life with her loving husband and sons while helping ensure this type of injustice does not happen to others.  She also wants to be an inspiration to others who are going through turbulent times in their lives.  Although the pain of this situation is great, she still finds it within herself to share her story with local, national and global media as well as speaking to groups at Universities, Colleges and other Organizations.
